“I only went out for a walk and finally concluded to stay out till sundown, for going out, I found, was really going in.”

Connect with Nature ...

Woodlands Breathing offers forest bathing experiences from a base in West Lothian, near Edinburgh.  Are you looking for a wellbeing practice to support you to reduce stress and overwhelm?  Perhaps you could add some sparkle to shine on your inner self?  Join us in the woods in a guided immersion, either in person or connect remotely from your local greenspace across the world or your home.    As we breathe with the trees and walk gently through the woods, you can switch off from technology and a hectic life for a while. The forest is the therapist, and your guide will open the doors for you. The forest will offer a unique forest therapy experience to each person on each occasion. A forest bathing walk with an ANFT*guide is inspired by the Japanese practice of shinrin yoku, a term coined in 1982 by the Japanese Forest Agency, following on from research to support an increasingly urbanised population suffering from stress and effects of pollution. There is now an increasing body of research from other countries across the world, including the UK, demonstrating the benefits of time spent in nature and connection with it on our physical, mental and emotional wellbeing.
